I grew up on the west coast in the San Francisco bay area, and more particularly, Berkeley. And that’s why I never liked the beach much as a kid. The water was always freezing cold and there was often heavy fog and a ‘wet’ cold that
Mark Twain once described this way:
“The coldest winter I ever spent was the summer I spent in San Francisco.”
In July 2009, we landed in Sarasota and within two weeks we found Siesta Beach. In my life I had never experienced anything like it. We found ourselves being drawn like magnets to this pristine enchanting place.
The sand is 99% quartz crystal, soft, beautiful and soothing to the feet. The water is about 85 degrees. What amazing energy and what a perfect place for Qigong practice.
Qigong is – what I referred to over the years as – my internal battery charger. Qigong is my friend and it keeps me sane in an often crazy world. For the 20+ years I have practice qigong, I have almost always practiced in doors – for privacy and lack of interuption, but also because cold or heat can have a very disturbing affect on the body when the channel qi (chi) meridians are wide open during practice.
But Siesta Key Beach is different.
The energy is perfect and balanced and clean and rejuvenating. One gets a sense that God is present at all times in this magnificent place – and that if we listen carefully we will be able to hear God speak.
We have been looking for the right place to teach a class we have developed called Rejuvenation Energy Alignment. And this is the right place. This class is a combination of:
- breath-work
- chanting and harmonic balancing
- physical practice that includes:
- Integrated Qigong postures from two Qigong systems
- Tibetan Rejuvenation Yoga
- Walking
- guided meditation
- grounding techniques
This program is a combination of practices that I have learned over the last 30+ years in a sequence that works well for me. Traditionally, Chinese qigong is practiced in the early morning when there is not yet too much activity, it is quiet and the air is still rich with oxygen from the night before. This class will be in the early morning starting at 7:00 a.m. (before it gets too hot) and we will also develop an alternate class at sundown.
My wife, Alexandra, and I will be teaching the course together. She is an angel in human form and has been deeply involved in self-development work and Spiritual growth since the early 80′s. Her energy, her Light and her deep Spiritual love is a strong, balancing component in any class she helps facilitate. Energetically and Spiritually, we are a dynamic and powerful team.
Come join us and start creating a new physical consciousness and an amazing new lifestyle that is fun and sustainable.
See you there…
